Originally starting in New Brunswick and migrating to Toronto, Joshua Reid found himself drawn to the booming queer house and techno scene. Starting out with a residency at Trade [Black Eagle], Joshua quickly became a fan favorite, laying down throbbing dance floors with his own brand of gay vocal tech house and techno. Playing parties like Pitbull, SIN, and Jockstrap, Joshua began to diversify by showing his range into deeper sounds and housier grooves. He eventually went on to start his own party at the Black Eagle called Dark Matter, where space and sound meet to make magic. His ability to float between genres with ease, frequent edits and tight technical programming allow him to take his audience on a journey, never dancing the same two steps. Joshua’s business by day, fetish party DJ by night dichotomy personifies his character as he is both approachable and professional but full of surprising depth and even a dash of daring.
