Born in the island of Puerto Rico. At the age of 11 he had a passion for the world of art and became a graffiti artist in the island. Months after his 13th birthday people around the neighborhood started to recognize Joey for the walls drawings. The passion for arts and music became stronger and when he gets his first pair of Technics 1200 and starts rocking around the neighborhood. At 22get years of age gets a passion for underground styles and beats and gets involved with the music that now gets it’s recognition world wide. Being a big follower of known names in the scene Joey Velez becomes the latest Puerto Rico’s creation in the world of electronic music. Few months after his 23th birthday he moves to the great city of Miami where his career as a dj took off and starts holding various residencies at a exclusives nightclubs and lounges,sharing stages with djs like Dash Berlin,Pabanor,Suzy Solar,Eddie G,George Acosta,Jes, Darude, Monk (R.I.M) and many more...
