A native New Yorker, DJ Ikonik One grew up against the gritty landscape of the emerging sounds of Hip-Hop, R&B, and other urban genre that were quickly becoming common place, not just in New York, but in most inner-cities across the country. As a teenager during the 90's, widely considered the the golden age of hip- hop, his love for beats, blends, rhythms, mixes, and the overall art of DJ'ing began to take root. This love ultimately lead his life upon a path towards fulfillment, passion and rocking some of the coolest places in New York City. Buying his first DJ equipment while in college, DJ Ikonik discovered he had a natural aptitude for sequencing music to create a vibe, and rocking the crowd. Honing his skills for the next few years playing the college circuit and local bars, he quickly developed a style of his own.
