In 1993 Frank Nitty emerged in the San Francisco dance scene spinning a Ragga Techno Breakbeat style that eventually lead to him being known as one of the first SF DJ’s to be classified as a Breakbeat DJ.
After rocking countless parties throughout the 90’s at infamous locations such as Oakland’s Home Base, 2nd & Jackson Warehouse as well as San Francisco’s 16th & Harrison, Maritime Hall and the Bill Graham Civic Center, Frank Nitty began to expand his musical genres. Throughout his time in the SF scene Frank Nitty performed with world class DJ’s such as DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Christopher Lawrence, The Crystal Method and Darude.
In 2000 Frank Nitty became apart of the dance music mix show House Nation. The show quickly became the #1 mix show in the Bay Area. After sometime away from SF dance community, In 2010 Frank Nitty returned to the House Nation crew spinning Electro House. Now known as “The Hitman” Frank Nitty is featured on the show every Saturday night on 99.7NOW.
