DJ SHORTZ is a veteran of the UK’s drum and bass scene, with over three decades of experience behind the decks. Growing up in London, he was immersed in pirate radio culture, holding down residencies on Origin and Don FM while playing at some of the UK’s most iconic venues, including Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Egg, and Pryzm.
SHORTZ’s influences span from early rave and classic disco to the technical scratching of DMC champions like DJ Q-Bert and Craze. As a member of Slovakia’s Konkoly Crew, he helped shape the country's early drum and bass movement in the 2000s and remains a regular at Konkoly festivals.
From underground raves to club takeovers, his sets bring high-energy selections across the full spectrum of Jungle and Drum & Bass. Tune in to his weekly show every Saturday, 8-10pm on Sub Jam DAB.
