As a DJ, Bonds has toured nationally as the DJ of Grammy-Award nominated rap artist Mystic, and has appeared on CBS, MTV, and BET. With Hip Hop and music as his passion, he became an accomplished event producer in Los Angeles, founding Elements Entertainment in 1998, whose flagship program, Club Elements, was the venerable weekly Hip Hop space that honored the “elements” of hip hop – MC/rap, DJ/turntablism, breakdance, and graffiti/visual art. All Hip Hop artists, from unknown to nationally acclaimed, made a pilgrimage to Elements when in Los Angeles. Under the Elements brand, Bonds also produced major concerts with audiences of up to 10,000 in attendance.
DJ Bonds is the director and producer of ELEMENTS, a documentary film on Los Angeles Hip Hop culture at the turn of the 21st century, which is currently in production. For more information on ELEMENTS: www.elementsdoc.com
