VIITS Is a DJ and producer based in Helsinki, Finland. Originally from Kibera, Nairobi—Africa’s largest informal settlement. Vits’s passion for music began in the vibrant, chaotic heart of his community. Growing up immersed in dance culture, he first found expression through hip hop and dancehall as a dancer, before transitioning into DJing in 2013, focusing initially on electronic dance music (EDM).
After discovering Afro House, Didier’s musical journey evolved to include a rich blend of genres such as Organic and Tribal House, Afro Tech, Funky House, Melodic House, Progressive, 3 Step, Gqom, and Amapiano. His sets are known for their dynamic energy and deep cultural roots, drawing on influences from across the African diaspora and beyond.
Didier has performed at numerous notable venues in Nairobi, Kenya; Löyly, Kaiku, and Holiday Bar in Helsinki, Finland, Fambula Festival in Naivasha, Kenya, Bayimba Festival in Kampala, Uganda, and Kosmos Festival in Mikkeli, Finland.
