Desiray Saija is born and raised in world’s port nr. 1 Rotterdam. Her parents encouraged her to practice classical ballet and listen to all kinds of music from an early age on. This is how her wide interest for music first came to bloom.

She grew up with Soul, Funk, Pop, Punk, Disco and Classical music. When her parents discovered her love for music they decided to buy her a record player, which she fed with all her favorite (MAXi) singles and LP’s ranging from ABBA to ZZ-top.

She got triggered by Electronic dance music in a later stage when she started visiting the most popular clubs in Holland in those days, like The Roxy, IT and Nighthown. Magnetized by watching the skills of the DJ’s in the booth she knew what she wanted to do. She got herself two record players, a mixing unit and went out on a weekly hunt for Records in all the hottest Record Stores. She mastered mixing with Vinyl and landed her first big gig at Club Las Palmas in Rotterdam.
