Derrick Patterson (Rudegroove) has been a force in UK dance music for over four decades. He began on Brixton’s pirate station Faze 1 (1987-89) alongside Dave Angel, Mark Sinclair, Fabio, Grooverider and Booker T, and was a fixture of London’s legendary record shops including Red Records and Unity Records.

Drawing on soul, funk, disco and house, his sets blend timeless classics with underground gems and uplifting house. He’s played clubs, festivals and community events UK-wide including Margate Soul Weekend, Wheels & Fins, Pride Stock, Give Festival and The Orchard.
