Deian Markov is the founder of international artist management and event agency, The Artist Network. His sister, who was part of the Toronto rave movement in the mid 1990’s, first introduced Deian to electronic music. His interest was sparked, and he began playing around with her eclectic record collection. Having laid his hands on vinyl first, Deian quickly realized that being a DJ was not easy in those days. But he immediately felt a passion for this and set off to learn the tools of the trade from those who knew it best. Drawing on his knack for business, he began surrounding himself with some of the local music industry's most talented performers and producers and created a roster of artists, which he managed as his first project in the music industry. The Artist Network was born and Deian's work cemented his place in the global market. Now he opperates Groove on the Grass, Dubai's first electronic music festival
