I believe Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. The older I get the more I have realized that music is the universal language and the highest form of communication we all share. Combine that with my second love, dancing (the primal movement of all human beings) and you find a tradition stretching back to the beginning of the human being. Although this expression has morphed from ancient cultures to modern civilization. I find there is a strong similarity. Two reasons. One, they work typically in rhythms ranging from 121 to 133 and Two, they all invoke patterns in sounds that are repetitive to invoke altered states in consciousness. Myself having one foot strong in a background of native tradition and the other in a world of electronic music. It is a combination of walking in two worlds! Why am I telling you this? So you understand the direction I am coming from in my style of mixing and thus the moniker "Dj Consciousness".
