DJ Dawang

DJ Dawang represents the 6ix, Toronto, Canada. Born in Manila, raised in Toronto, and living in Osaka, he tries to implement each culture in his music. He is one of the founding members of the Osaka based Kansai Beatz Krew (KBK) DJ group. His influences over the years are RnB, HipHop, Classic House, Freestyle, and of course the 80s.

He learned to DJ back in University after getting his first pair of decks. After experiencing the sets of local DJs (starting from Scratch and Baby Yu) he became much more interested in the craft. Over the years DJ Dawang has played at different venues small and big and will always deliver his signature sound.

After meeting legendary greats like Jazzy Jeff, scratch Bastid, shortkut, dStyles, Q-bert, and so on. He hopes to keep the music flowing from generation to generation. Whether it is educating the younger generation on how to DJ or just playing classic hits that keep the party moving.
