I started out DJ'ing back in 1984 with breakdance/Electro music.
This then progressed to House music around 1986 just after a really great funk era (Mantronix, S.O.S band, Loose Ends ETC)
The House Explosion blew my mind, it was a sheer buzz and pleasure every weekend to be playing these great tracks out to the clubbers every weekend at my club residency at the Regal Nightclub in Ripley.
Fast forward to the 90's, 91 DJ Chat and myself devised a new night known as the 'Ravetrain'
Fond memories of this era, travelling to Derby every Friday afternoon, BPM records, buying all the top records, week in and week out, there was so many to chose from.
The week was spent reading 'Music Week' and Mixmag Update magazine, so we keep our playlist very current and up to date.
These days, I still play around 8 gigs a year (Keep my hand in)
I am still pretty current with the dance world thanks to Pete Tong, Beatport.
and goes without saying, I still like to produce a few mixes a year.
