Back in 1976 Sly was having a party The Family Stone house and goddam it was the funkiest, grooviest party in history, Chaka Khan was there, Stevie Wonder, blind, drunk, George Clinton, a young artist formally known as Prince, James Brown was present but out of sight, Bootsy Collins and all the P-Funk stars.
The air was so thick with funk that suddenly, waaaaaah! Good God! Hit Me! Out of nowhere popped a baby Brother Funk, pink and screaming funk outbursts plop straight in Chaka's lap.
"Aw, Sweet Thang".
"That boy be white"
"George" Said Bootsy, "Ain't no thang, groove is in the heart baby"
And so was born Brother Funk, hand reared on a diet of basslines and the last of the groove, until he was ready to explore the universe in search of the funk, which had been kicked overboard the mothership the year he was born.
And now, after exploring the cosmos scouring existence for the grooviest vibes, he returns, with the funk, to share with you all the
