After kick-starting the Hobart Club and Rave scene in the early 90’s, and DJing at iconic clubs, Babylon, The Lodge and Club Surreal, Damien relocated to Sydney where he managed iconic record stores Reachin’ Records and Acetate Record Bar, and was the Music Director for Sydney's first full time dance music radio station, Rhythm FM.
His Studio productions have appeared on over 30 international compilations including Hed Kandi, Stereo Sushi and Moonlight Cinema. Working with his studio partner, Andrew Young, as Southlight, they have recently signed to Vicious Recordings, their singles ‘Burning Up” and “Bound by Rhythm” Feat Mia Palencia, have received airplay on Kiss FM, Joy FM, Bay FM, ABC and 2SER, as well as international DJ support. Damien’s experience behind the decks and in the studio, guarantee a level of quality and sophistication that is appreciated by dancers and listeners alike.
