I'm starting this page to upload hip hop mixtapes my brothers and I taped from the radio when we were kids.
They are from WRKS 98.7 and 107.5 WBLS from the mid 80's.
Chuck Chillout, Mr. Magic's Rap Attack and Kool DJ Red Alert to be specific. There's likely some others too.
Exclusive bits and pieces, some cool commercials and chatter.
Lot's of World Premiers, Marley Marl mega mixes and maybe some In Control shows too.
Keep in mind, when we were young, we didn't have an endless surplus of blank tapes, so sometimes we cut out things we already had on tape.We weren't thinking about preservation back then, just getting the new tunes onto the cassette.
We grew up in rural Connecticut, so sometimes reception comes and goes. I'll try not to post anything to annoying.
