Caleb C Roche (DJ Cal) brings an attitude to DJ'ing that reminds me of a skilled golfer: calm, focused, and confident in his trained abilities. He lives in Chicago and takes a holistic approach to music, trying to make his electronic production sound as organic as possible. "Although we deal with drum machines and sequencers which are such complicated machines, the goal is really to have it sound like it has a voice," he explains. His mixing skills have advanced tremendously over the years as well. He has been DJing and promoting in the nightlife industry for six years, but making music his entire life. Always willing to adapt his sound to any event's theme Caleb's mixes include some of the freshest soul from around the world, as well as a colorful blend of house, techno, and progressive.
