Daily hourlong random playlists—no repeat performances (not if I can help it)
Other numbered series, like Xgau Friday and Libr Sale might have duplicates from the much greater (if not better) series that has had previous names before I settled on Adventures In Listening. I did like All Tunes Possible but I think AIL says it pretty well. All this stuff comes off of my hard drive(s). Much of it comes recommended from various places, mostly Robert Christgau's Consumer Guides in the early going, but now that CDs aren't $15 any more (instead 25¢ lately) the scope has widened markedly. I'm quite likely to pick up an Xgau C+ for 25¢ and be happy to have it if only for the put-down. So, yeah, now that I'm in my latter years I don't mind a bit of dreck midst the good/great stuff. I don't expect others to abide with what my randomizer comes up with but for myself it's a great way to hear things I'd never get around to at all otherwise.
