In 2009 Cathelijne is employed as an editor and music programmer on national Dutch soul & jazz station Radio 6 (NTR) and works closely with many prime time presentors like Winfried Baijens and Sylvana Simons. Meanwhile Cat is busy developing her own radio skills at Amsterdam's Red Light Radio together with DJ’s Ari Deelder and Ben Penn. Two years later things really hit off when she's offered her own radioshow ‘Thelonious’ on one of Holland's largest local radio stations Radio Rijnmond, focusing mainly on old school jazz. When she is asked to host and produce 'Wakkere Honden' (also Radio Rijnmond) her playlists expand considerably, containing heavy soul, rock & roll and classic r&b. In 2016 Thelonious is changed into A Deeper Shade of Soul where Cat focusses on the best soul tracks she can find. In 2011, together with DJ collective DANSBAR, Cat starts performing live club sets professionally, taking things even further with obscure soul, disco and boogie tracks (exclusively on vinyl).
