Hailing from Hamburg Katja Ruge and Frank Husemann are better known as Can Love Be Synth.
They are in Love with old analog machines and define their sound in the legendary Synthesizerstudio Hamburg. A synth collectors paradise owned by Frank and Sunny and hidden behind the big grey walls of a Bunker & the U&G Club.
Katja run`s her party series „Kann denn Liebe Synthie sein?“ for almost 10 years where she plays the music that she loves from Italo, New Wave, from Cosmic Sounds to Dark Disco.
She invited Josh Cheon (Dark Entries), Wolfram, Curses, Neil Landstrumm, Emperor Machine, Perel.
Many also know Katja`s portrait photography of Âme, The Hacker, Helena Hauff, DJ Koze.
Very fast they started to do remixes for people such as Cerrone, Ruede Hagelstein or Polly Scattergood.
In 2017 they had their first own release on Bordello A Parigi and continued 2020 with releases on Ombra INT. and TAU. 2021 will be a release on A CLEAN CUT.
