Buttamilk, Philly during the early 90s.

All but 2 of these tapes have never been shared. On analog ice for 26 years. Mostly recorded in 1994, all except the last 2 (Unity Day Mix + 1st 'official' buttamilk tape) you can hear buttamilk co-founders Gene Roberson and Qool DJ Marv bonding through Jazz and deep soul and R&B, while constructing a playful alternate reality radio station Buttamilk-FM. All the feels of how we did in the 90s...buying records, blank tapes and having a turntable and tape deck at home was more of a norm. We made vibe tapes, we made make love tapes and we made jazz-dominant eclectic tapes. Just having fun, but laying a foundation for what to expect when you encounter buttamilk.
