Mixcloud is excited to announce the acquisition of Encore. In our 15th year of the platform, we’re embarking on a new chapter with one of Europe’s leading online music marketplaces.

Encore, founded 10 years ago, helps artists make money through live music by connecting them with customers looking for live acts for their events.

It has facilitated over 50,000 bookings and helped musicians earn £25 million through live performances, building a vibrant community and becoming a key player in the live music industry.

Closely aligned with Mixcloud’s mission to support musicians at every step of their journey, the acquisition brings the companies together in a united effort to build tools for communities to grow, monetize and connect through music.

Upon joining Mixcloud, Encore will continue to operate as an independent brand, booking musicians, bands and DJs for events of all kinds. Meanwhile, Mixcloud will help steer the next stages of the company’s product.

The acquisition also sees Nikhil Shah, Co-Founder of Mixcloud, joining Encore as its new Chairman, having been an angel investor in the company since 2019. Shah will provide strategic guidance as Encore enters a new phase.
