BlacGene was born with music in his lips in the GREAT BENIN EMPIRE which is in modern day Benin City, Nigeria and He has been attending and performing at shows when he was 13 and later formed the group called, Flaming Squad with his friend Kevbone at his University (ABSU).We were an instant success in Lagos, and had several hits on the underground scene, but but we needed more ammunition and inspiration cuz Fela, Sir Victor Uwaifo, Majek Fashek and many local musicians help root our foundation firmly in music.
