From playing the Newport Jazz Festival
with Dred Scott Trio to producing remixes for Killah Priest and Karsh Kale, genre- bending 2x-Grammy-nominated producer/ mixer/bassist Ben Rubin has worked with everyone from Masta Ace to Donny McCaslin to Marshall Crenshaw. Ben has made well over 100 records in numerous genres, notably for the Ropeadope and SmallsLive labels. He has landed on the DownBeat Critics’ Polls seven times as a “Rising Star Producer” and his band Mudville won the 2008 Independent Music Award for “Electronica Song of the Year.”
