I met Lisa Rovelli/Elle ruvElle in May of ’10. She was DJing for the first time out in public with a mutual friend, so I had to check out this “girl DJ” my friend was mentoring. When I arrived she was just finishing, but I got to hear the last three or four songs of her set. She had great song selection, and promise as a DJ. I sent her a message late that night, and was pleasantly surprised that she came out to my gig the next day. The rest as they say is history. She has gone on to spin at nearly every bar & club in Harrisburg along some local legends & fairly high profile gigs.
I couldn’t be prouder… then I married her.
Over the last 2 years we have become a duo on the decks (as well as in “real-life”) and what you have here is our first recorded mix together. I’m a little bit old school to her new stuff. While I’m approaching the sunset of my deejay career, she is just starting hers. And I feel like the balance we bring to our gigs has a little bit for everybody.
