In 2013, Bayu Putra (formerly known as Baypoet) embarked on a sonic journey in the realm of electronic music. Upon hearing 6th Borough Project’s ‘One Night in The Borough’, he commences his way for an exploration into the British electronic music scene.

Baypoet’s sound is a synthesis of house, electronica, and delving even deeper to ambient and balearic sounds — a melting pot of genres that captivated him from an early age. He started taking over behind the decks in 2018 at Jenja Jakarta alongside the prominent, Hogi Wirjono. Currently affiliated with METROPOLIS collective and acknowledged for his entrancing and passionate club music, he frequently rocks the turntables that leaves an indelible mark on Jakarta’s enigmatic club scene.

Expanding his sound further, he resonates across the globe with tracks that have been produced and released such as his EP ‘Translink’ on Sprechen and gained recognition from other labels such as Turn On Plastic, Underradar, LeftRight, and Future10
