Over the past decade Jamie Behan has established himself as one of Ireland's foremost techno DJs. Influenced by formative experiences sneaking into clubs at the age of 14 to hear legendary DJs such as Derrick Carter and Gayle San spin, he soon began experimenting with mixing two hi-fi tape decks together. In 1996 he invested in a set of turntables and began playing at after-hours parties, bars, and small clubs. Since then he has honed his skills and fashioned a distinctive fast, funky 3 deck fusion of techno influences which he has showcased at home and abroad, from his own Bastardo Electrico club-nights at the legendary Sir Henry's, various residencies in his home city of Cork at influential nights such as Bass and Schmutzig, and headline slots at clubs and parties in Ireland, the UK, Spain, Holland, and Belgium, to as far afield as Bahrain in the Middle East.
