At the age of 15, Azza K Fingers was already in several garage bands, but he also played in symphonic, marching, and jazz band at Thornton Township High School in Harvey, IL. This is where Azza met fellow djs, “Hot Hands” Hula Mahone and Maurice “Jack It Up” Joshua. They taught Azza how to dj and thus “Krazzee Fingers” Craig was born. The three would spin house music together at high schools, skating rinks, and house parties making names for themselves in Chicago and the South Suburbs of Illinois all while still creating house tracks at Hula’s parents’ home.
In 1986 Hula & K. Fingers landed their first single “Body Groove” on DJ International/Underground under the group name Nightstar (misspelled Nipestar on the single label), which appeared on the compilation “Sound of Chicago House Music Vol.2”
