Athena Tergis hails from a musical family in San Francisco, CA. Following the release of her first album at age16, Athena left home to follow her passion for Irish traditional music, joining the Sharon Shannon Band in Galway Ireland. She became the featured violinist in the production of Riverdance on Broadway and spend over a year on tour with Bruce Springsteen’s sax player, Clarence Clemons before joining Mick Moloney and Billy McComiskey in the Green Fields of America in 2001. Athena is also a regular principal soloist and composer with the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra as well as with Riverdance Composer Bill Whelan. In 2004 she moved to Tuscany, Italy.
