Tata Nano is the cheapest, frugally engineered road car in the world. It is a rear-engined, four-passenger car with Bosch value motronic system which uses more intelligent software instead of sensors, injectors, and other hardware which helps in cost reduction.

Tata Nano has launched the new Tata Nano which comprises of many features - new colors, new interiors, a more powerful gasoline engine and even greater fuel efficiency of 25.4 kmpl, further improving on its record as India's most fuel efficient petrol car. The new Tata Nano is powered by a 624 cc engine that churns out 38.5 bhp whereas earlier it was 35.4 bhp and 51Nm of torque (earlier 48 Nm). The engine is positioned at the rear of the car. The fuel efficiency which was already high 23.6 kmpl has been raised to 25.4 kmpl as certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
