Alexis Kostas was borned in Western Germany.
His talent began to appear by the age of four, when he immediately started to play rhythms with ease.
He began classical studies at percussion with the well-known Russian-Greek professor Giannis Zavridis at the conservatory of Raymond, where his performance of Bizet’s Carmen at xylophone won him a scholarship to continue his studies.
He then moved to modern percurssion and studied the Arabic tarabouka with the professor Mohamed Hankas, as well as Latin rhythm with congas bongos timbales with the Cuban professor Pedro Martinez, and then with Marvin Diz.
His talent and work ethics were excelled, when he later became the Artistic Director o the National Greek Television in 2006.
He has won many international awards.
He collaborates with exceptional Greek artists such as Stefanos Korkolis, Evanthia Reboutsika, Antonis Vardis, and he has played along with great performers such as Linda Geyman, Alkistis Protopsalti, Marios Frangoulis,Eleutheria A
