Alex Reed, Ph.D., is an expert in the histories and deep catalogues of the avant-garde. Author of books on industrial music, Laurie Anderson, and They Might Be Giants, he offers services in DJing, curation, and music supervision for film and TV. Having DJed since 1995 at nightclubs all over America and Canada—including festivals such as Convergence, DragonCon, and Dracula's Ball—he specializes in the far-flung and long-forgotten corners of dark and esoteric pop. He also enjoys crafting remarkable mashups, unique edits, and wild mixtapes. His work with the bands Seeming and ThouShaltNot has accumulated millions of plays, and his remixes include work for Front Line Assembly, Hundred Waters, Alphaville, Stromkern, Anything Box, and many more.
