80 minutes of gorgeous vintage music from Africa (75%) -- mostly West Africa -- and Latin America and the Caribbean (25%). A loose mix of profoundly syncretic music -- mellow, upbeat, authentic -- some of my favorite in the world. There's also an air of resistance -- the title is not inspired by the stadium in NJ.
The musicians and countries include:
1. Ngozi Family (Zambia)
2. El wali (Western Sahara)
3. Albert Bongu (Congo)
4. Voodoo (Trinidad)
5. T.O. Jazz (Ghana)
6. Freedom (Hourya) (Algeria)
7. Celestine Ukwu & (Nigeria)
8. Tabou Combo (Haiti)
9. Conjunto Mistério with Duo Ouro Negro (Angola)
10. Morogoro Jazz Band (Zanzibar)
11. Prince Kayosun Dosumu & (Nigeria)
12. Orchestre Tropicana (Haiti)
13. Ignace De Souza (Benin)
14. Eddie Okonta & (Nigeria)
15. Sir Victor Uwaifo & (Nigeria)
16. Victor Boa Y (Panama)
17. Ebo Taylor (Ghana)
18. The Sweet Talks (Ghana)
19. Franco (Congo)
20. Aberlado Carbono Y (Colombia)
21. Mercury Dance Band (Ghana)
