Volume Twenty One, Chicane

Born Nicholas Bracegirdle, Chicane started off his career back in 1996, during house music’s golden age, quickly becoming the epitome of atmospheric, near-cinematic dance music. “I’m a big film fan, I find a lot of my inspiration from films, I have often described my sound as a 'widescreen' approach to house,” he told To Be Continued; hesitating when asked about his favourite film, he finally decides on The Big Blue –Version Longue.

You can listen to his new single No More I Sleep as well as feasting on his special podcast for To Be Continued, where he further explores music as a tool to trigger emotions. “The most important thing in music is to be emotive”, he explains, “I always strive to achieve this...I don't understand dull music”.
