Terrance McDonald, aka T. Mac, grew up on Chicago’s south side. His interest in house and dance music first started back in the mid-80’s while listening to the WBMX radio hot mixes. At the age of 12 he took an interest in spinning.
During the years that followed, he perfected his DJ skills and DJ’d at various local venues which eventually led to wanting to produce his own tracks. By 1991 through collaborative efforts with Chicago’s Steve Poindexter, he released his first E.P., Mind Over Matter, on Saber/Trax Records (Chicago). Building off of the momentum of the success of this release, he went on to release various other E.P’s on DJAX (Holland), Dance Mania (Chicago), Creative Limited (Chicago) and others along with appearances on various compilations.
Most recently, as a member of 312 House Society, he has teamed up with Roy Davis, Jr., Brian Harden, Ellery Coles and Wes Green for the Taste of House compilation with a new E.P. scheduled for release in the very near future.
