Back to 1997 started practicing his skills as a bedroom DJ without any proper equipment he made use of a powerfull Blaupunkt system with a built-in amplifier. He was known as DJ Mal on the decks and played at house parties and made some demo tapes. During this time he was inspired by local by local groups Prophets Of Da City and Brasse Vannie Kaap as well as International artists KRS – One and Gang Starr. Listening to the Headwarmers hip hop show on Bush Radio and this spurred his interest in hip hop culture even further. Studied Audio-Engineering in 2001.
