The podcast series TIMEZONES boradcasted on the community radio RaBe explores the diverse living and working environments of artists worldwide: What does it mean today to live and work in different countries, cities and contexts in the field of culture and art? The thoughts and moods of the artists, their social, political and intellectual realities and their (life) philosophies are expressed in experimental audio collages that stimulate new forms of exchange, listening and storytelling.
TIMEZONES plays with formats and content: the podcast moves between journalism and experiment, documentary, ethnography, fiction, sound art and improvisation. Together with local producers and artists, portraits and current stories from cities around the globe are created, providing a very personal insight into current music and art events around the world.
TIMEZONES is a joint project of the Goethe-Institut and Norient, the global editorial network for contemporary music and media cultures.
