SuperMario is a project by electronic artist Parekhit Bhattacharjee, also known for his Psy Trance project- SUN. An electronica survivor from its very first roots in India, SuperMario began his journey as a DJ in Delhi, India. His style is a playful blend of Folklore and Asian chants/vocals dipped with varying yet steady beats. Super Mario as a project is to challenge the limitations of genres and sub-genres and seamlessly weave in different facets of electronic music, for harmonic yet pulsating effect.
SuperMario has got unparalleled response from the listeners and the dance floor fanatics; playing across India and the Middle Kingdom and sharing the stage with some of the biggest local and international acts.
Over the years, SuperMario has played at various indoor and outdoor festivals sharing the stage with some of the biggest & most respected names including Martin Roth, Peter Dundov, Ziger, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Guy J. BLOT!, Kohra, Arjun Vagale, Cid Inc. to name a few.
