Steviedee from Belgium, born in the beautiful historic city of Ghent, was in the 1980s a talented DJ with a passion for soul music. From a young age, this music style inspired him; he seamlessly mixed records in various Ghent discotheques during the vibrant 1980s. When Ghent's discotheques were still full of energy, Steviedee emerged as a true pioneer of soul music. His vinyl collection, a treasure trove of sounds from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, formed the basis of his unique sound. With performances in various Ghent clubs and his successful radio show "Soulpearls" on Ghent's free radio Diana, he won the hearts of Ghent's soul music lovers with Motown and Philly Sounds and especially Rare Soul.
