I joined INICIO late 2012 and have been spinning records for the past 8 years at various St. Louis venues. My first encounter with electronic music was back in college around 2000. I went to a warehouse party featuring Richard Humpty Vission in Memphis and was hooked. After moving back to St. Louis a few years later, I searched out local venues, finding myself either dancing or watching the DJ. It’s corny but I have honestly said many mornings, “Last night a DJ saved my life.” The dance floor is a powerful place and I began to search music and learn the technical skills, playing what I would like to hear and dance to. In my early years, I was educated in theater, choral and solo performance, and musicals which have given me fundamental understanding of music. It is quite powerful and that is why I aspire to play music in the first place. INICIOSTL.com
