Bucharest native Ovidiu Stancu, known as Spazial has been playing music since the 90s, a decade not so long gone but already a distant memory culturally speaking. It was in this decade that Spazial started following his natural orientation towards music. Electronic music is where he’s gone back to time and time again and after witnessing some of the best local talent in now legendary venues like Web Club and TraLaLa, b52, in Bucharest, started to DJ.
Working at Zone Records as shop manager for, what was at the time, one of the only independent record shops in the city - he gathered knowledge on music genres beyond the reach of many local DJs. His early sets in the 00s are similar to what people like Oneman and Jackmaster do today, making sure the crowd is always happy by creating a common ground of hip-hop and dance music while pursuing a progression into harder beats from a broad spectrum of electronic music.
