Raq City is a Jamaican-born-and-bred, NYC-based DJ and Engineer. Zie demonstrated a keen interest in music from a very young age. When zie wasn’t playing sports or studying, zie could be found singing in choir or replicating rifts from zir favorite songs on her red mini-toy keyboard.
Zie got her start DJing in 2013 at Northeastern’s radio station WRBB 104.9, playing various campus events. A lover of all things bass, zie prides zirself on zir versatile and eclectic style which has been strongly influenced by zir Caribbean roots, love of Spanish culture as well as her time spent in London. Zie designs zir sets to suit the occasion and lift the spirits.
