James Benchia is an artist from Cleveland, Ohio. He studied Philosophy and explores experimental concepts of anxiety, depression, addiction, solipsism, Utopian/ Dystopian futures, as well as many other concepts in his lyrics and songs. With many influences such as Portishead, NIN, Radiohead, Cursive, The Chariot, Dntel, Alt-J, and The Postal Service, his music is a massive blend of ideas both big and small. The concept of TEFU was originally to incorporate a rotating set of different drummers/ guitarists/ and singers but has since become a solo project driven by him alone.
