Suoni Per Il Popolo boosts adventurous music, art, and activism in Tiohtià:ke / Montréal / Mooniyang. Each June, our weeks-long series of concerts showcases a range of avant-garde and exploratory musical practices, from free jazz, contemporary composition, noise, electronic, punk to sound art, poetry, experimental installations, and hybrid forms such as sound walks. Rooted in community engagement, the festival extends beyond performance through workshops, zine launches, talks, and initiatives such as Trading Places - an artistic exchange between Montréal, Vancouver and, since 2026, Mexico City. The visual and metaphorical theme of this year’s Suoni is water, that crucial element at the crux of humanity’s life force, a precious and threatened resource. This year's fest - overflowing with talent- runs June 16 to 28th. We can’t wait to gather and raise our glasses - be they full of wine or Montreal water - this summer!
