DJ RQ Away is a New Orleans native & a multi-talented artist -- disc jockey, event curator, & civic leader. With more than 10 years in his craft, his deep love of sound continues to influence his unique vibe-creating ability & has cemented his name as a leader in DJ culture.

In his hometown RQ Away is held high for creating musically superior spaces for people of color. His most notable event is his 10 year residency known as the “The Tipping Point” which is beloved by locals & has become a certified global “must do” while visiting New Orleans. His late-night Friday jam session has hosted guest DJs like King Marie, Shinobi Shaw, Darling Chuck, Werc Crew, Mike Swift & Kelly Green & has attracted the moves of special guest including, Venus Williams, Solange, The RZA, Y’lan Noel, Mario Van Peebles, & Robert Glasper.
