QARAQOOM" is a musical project that combines the ethnic sound of the peoples of Central Asia and modern electronic music, in genres from organic house, to progressive house and techno. In our tracks we show the musical palette of our people, as we believe that this heritage has a lot of beautiful colors.
We have been studying styles, directions and separate tracks for a long time, before we began to make the first steps. Only after gathering the necessary, in our opinion, volume of the listened musical material, we started writing.
Our band was founded in 2020. During lockdown, in the midst of the pandemic. That's when the first tracks appeared. The name comes from the name of a large desert, which is located in the heart of Central Asia. In this name we tried to combine what we want to be associated with: our land, our centuries-old history, our climate. Life and temperament of people living here. And, of course, the music of our people.
