Ozman The Wizard was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago (Pill-Hill Area). As a teenager, he played trumpet professionally in a jazz quintet in the Chicago area. At age 21, he decided to give radio a try by enrolling at Kennedy King College, working several different on air shifts with WKKC FM (including Friday Night Audio). Ozman was hired by Crawford Broadcasting/Dontron as a Board Operator for WVJM (the station that would eventually evolve into Power 92) in early 2001. Once Power 92 (WPWX) signed on in spring of 2001, Oz worked as a producer for both afternoon drive and the morning show. “Oz Radio” first hit the airwaves as a weekend show in 2004, and by 2007 “Oz Radio” was the official overnight show for Power 92 (M-F 2AM to 5AM CST on www.Power92Chicago.com). You can also hear Ozman on the airwaves in Rockford on "Rockford Nights" (M-F 6PM to 10PM CST on www.MyPower106.com). Ozman also hosts a weekly podcast with his sister Na'imah called "Not Another Damn Podcast".
