Oldskool Rules is a music group on Facebook , I created it 3 years ago, for like minded music lovers, a place where people can share their favourtite tunes from back in the day, for sharing memories, a place for DJs to share their mixes, promote radio shows, helping those to gain new followers
The group has grown from stength to strength and continues to do so
It's a great place for those up DJs who are pretty much unknown, as it gives them a chance for their mixes to be heard and generates a nice following for them, I feel it's important to give new people a chance they deserve, as it can be difficult to break onto the scene, it helps with their confidence in pursuing their career, if that's the route they wish to take
Some have played for a hobby and I've helped them land their own radio show and they've progressed beautifully
On 24th of September I ran my first event in Leeds, featured were unkown DJs alonside the bigger named DJs, the night was a big success
