I loved dance music in its many forms from the first time I heard it listening to Jeff Youngs big beat show on Radio One, then Pete Tong on Friday nights. It really took off in the early 90's when I started going to Cuba at Occasions in Sheffield. Listening to Winston and Parrot play all the early breakthrough Warp records tunes blew my mind. That's probably when I started buying records, just to listen to not to DJ.
Later in the 90's going to the clubs of the West and East Midlands really drove me to want to have a go at DJing. Those clubs, Progress in Derby, Crunch and Wobble in Birmingham, were something to behold on those weekend nights. I must have bought thousands of tunes over the years and I started this just as a one stop place for me to find my music pulled together in a way that I like.
If you listen to a mix and like it then that's great. If you love it then it would be nice to know, give me a comment, make it a favourite or repost it.
