I am back after a long break & working on a new mix..
Some thoughts about DJ:
I came to DJing via dancing. Cause I love to dance but couldn't find a club with music I liked. Everywhere you have Techno or House or RnB - only. Well, I find that boring. It's like you eat only penne in tomato sauce every day. You miss a lot. For me there must be a good beat, a good rhythm and some varity in a track. I don't care if it's uncool. The problem with trying to be cool is that one misses to have fun.
I think, a DJ should make sure people have a fun time and usually you don't find an audience whit only one music taste.
I don't care how the music style is called, thus, or in which language they singer sings. I just throw them all together - with of course the rules of DJing and musical harmony. That's why I have to sit ages to work on a play list.. I think it's worth it.
